Partner Search and Brokerage
The EU IST Promotion Team has an extensive network of contacts both in Hungary and throughout the European Union. When a proposer is looking for a candidate to fulfill a specific role in a project - be it coordination or research tasks - we are ready to assist in identifying suitable candidates in Hungary, or call on our networks in other countries. Similarly, if a partner would like to offer its competencies to projects that are being developed, we would be glad to facilitate the search. Naturally we are also open to participating in projects ourselves or bringing them to the attention of local governmental or public organizations.
We encourage those who intend to become active in the IST programme to get involved in the preparations of the IST work programmes. The Information Society Directorate of the Commission often consults researchers and developers involved in specific technologies, as well as experts in the fields of research, education, and government when developing its work programmes and assemblying the content of its calls for proposals. These consultations may take the form of online submissions of opinion and interest or public events. It is worthwhile to get involved already at the preparatory stage of work programmes, contribute to their development, follow the evolution of their priorities, and build preliminary partner networks and project ideas. Furthermore, the annual IST conference and exhibition usually organizes networking sessions, which can be initiated by researchers interested in starting cooperation in a certain field.
